Season the salmon: in a separate bowl, add your mustard, maple syrup, steak spice (or other spices) and mix with a spoon. We love a salt free steak spice, but also add garlic or onion powder too.
Once mixed, add half the steak spice to the top side of your salmon.
If grilling or using the oven, heat the salmon on a 400 degree oven or grill until the salmon reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit. This can very based on cooking method, however I found it usually takes 15-25 minutes.
Once the salmon is cooked, remove from heat. Squeeze fresh lemon over the top and serve.
